10 Adventure Elopement Locations

If a traditional wedding is not your vibe, then you are not alone! There are so many couples (especially since Covid) who are choosing to forego the big wedding and say "I do" somewhere epic instead. An elopement allows you the freedom to be spontaneous and carefree on your wedding day while being surrounded by the best that mother nature has to offer. It's a day truly dedicated to you and your S.O. in the most authentic, intimate, and romantic kind of ways.

Here are 10 Epic Elopement Locations for the Adventurous Couple

The Arizona Desert

Big Sur, California

Bonneville Salt Flats

Cannon Beach, Oregon

Horseshoe Bend, Arizona

Joshua Tree National Park

Maui, Hawaii

North Carolina Mountains

Northern Michigan

Rocky Mountain National Park

These are just a few of the endless beautiful landscapes to choose from. If you find yourself unable to decide, or completely overwhelmed- here are a few questions to consider.

1. What do you want as your background?

First things first, is picking the landscape. What do you and your partner want to be surrounded by during your elopement? Water, mountains, trees, etc? Once you have a general scenery in mind, you can then begin to narrow down your options.

2. What season do you want to elope?

The second thing you should consider is the season of your elopement. If you've decided on a desert landscape, then a summer wedding might not be the best choice. With temperatures in the triple digits, a spring or fall elopement might be more feasible.

3. Will it be just the two of you or are you inviting loved ones?

The next thing to take into account is your guest list or lack thereof. If you're eloping just the two of you, then a destination wedding is much easier to plan. The more people you invite, however, the more planning, coordination, and cost to consider.

4. What is your elopement budget?

Lastly is finalizing your overall budget. Though elopements are typically less expensive than a traditional wedding, there are still costs involved such as travel and accommodation, wedding attire, photo and video, and other miscellaneous expenses.

Once you have the answer to these four questions, you should have a narrowed-down list of elopement locations!
